Hatare Marine park is a 5km  stretch of reef, mangroves and coastal land area at Hatare, Marau Sound.

The reef has been under protection by Hatare community for the last 7 years. The
community has now established the MarineProtected Area and coastal strip of land as a Marine Park which include recreational facilities.

Getting there from Honiara 

1. 30 minutes Solomon Airlines flights
2. 4 hours open boat ride
3. 10 hours on coastal trader vessels leaving Honiara on every Friday nights.
